Ragno was founded in Sassuolo in 1949 and quickly became a major player in the ceramics industry. In the 1960s and 1970s, the company expanded from making wall tiles for residential use to producing glazed tiles for both floors and walls. These tiles were used in various construction sectors, both in Italy and abroad. The company was known for its high quality and craftsmanship in tile production.
In the early 1980s, Ragno began using new, advanced production technologies. Simultaneously, the company changed its sales and marketing strategies to better respond to customer and market needs. This led to the development of a wide range of products that met the latest trends, styles, and consumer tastes. Ragno began expanding its product range to include various types of tiles, such as porcelain, white body, and glass mosaic. The company focused on both indoor and outdoor floor and wall coverings.
Ragno's offering consists of reliable and well-defined solutions that will last for years. The company continues to develop and innovate with new interior design trends. Ragno offers a complete range that is becoming increasingly specialized. Their products are flexible and modular, allowing them to fit well into various design styles. They primarily focus on living spaces, but are increasingly serving other applications as well.
Since 2013, Ragno has been part of Mohawk Industries, the world's largest flooring manufacturer. Mohawk sells its products in more than 170 countries. The company has $10 billion in revenue and production facilities in 18 countries. Mohawk's strategy is based on growth through acquisitions and direct investments. Ragno benefits from Mohawk's resources and network.
In recent years, Ragno has invested in improving production at the group's Italian factories. This has led to the development of new products and exclusive technologies. These innovations have further expanded Ragno's product range. Ragno remains committed to quality and innovation, which helps the company distinguish itself in the tile market.
