Processing agents for mosaic tiles

When installing mosaic tiles, several processing tools can play a crucial role in properly securing and finishing the tiles. All these tools ensure that the tiles are firmly in place and that the final result is durable and beautiful.

1. Kitten

Sealant is often used to attach mosaic tiles to various surfaces, especially when flexibility is required, such as when installing tiles on more difficult substrates (e.g., wood or plastic). Sealant can also be used to waterproof edges or joints, such as in bathrooms and kitchens.

2. Paste glue

Paste adhesive is a ready-to-use adhesive that can be used straight from the jar. It's a flexible, user-friendly adhesive that's ideal for attaching mosaic tiles to walls. Because of its ease of application, paste adhesive is suitable for smaller surfaces and lighter tiles.

3. Powder glue

Powder adhesive is often used for larger and heavier mosaic tiles or for entire floors. This type of adhesive must be mixed with water to form a firm, thick adhesive paste. It is particularly suitable for attaching tiles to difficult substrates such as concrete or plaster. Powder adhesive provides a strong bond and is often more moisture-resistant.

4. Grout

After laying mosaic tiles, grout is used to fill the spaces between them. Grout not only provides a beautiful finished look but also waterproofs the tiled wall or floor and prevents dirt and moisture. There are many different types of grout, depending on the type of tile and its placement. Together, these processing agents ensure that mosaic tiles are firmly attached, well finished and resistant to wear and moisture.
